About Angela
The story
is in the details.
I’m Angela Smeraldi, an actor, model, host, and content creator based in San Diego. Originally from Long Island and raised in Florida, my career has taken a less traditional path, which has become one of my greatest strengths. I’ve worked both in front of the camera and behind it, giving me a broader understanding of what it takes to bring a production together from the first idea to the final frame.
My on-camera work spans film, commercial work, hosting, modeling, and UGC. In film, I’ve worked in both lead and supporting roles across feature and independent productions, and I’m especially drawn to character-driven work that allows me to explore different personalities, relationships, and perspectives. I’ve also appeared in national and international campaigns, including work for Totalplay and Chili’s Latin America, and have served as a podcast host for Xenco Medical. I’ve worked with companies and organizations including QVC, Viejas Casino & Resort, ECR4Kids, and the American Red Cross. Whether I’m stepping into a scripted character, speaking directly to an audience, or representing a brand, I’m drawn to work that feels natural, engaging, and genuinely connected.
Behind the camera, I’ve taken on a variety of production roles that have given me a deeper understanding of how a project comes together. I’ve worked as a wardrobe stylist on major productions, including work for the American Red Cross, served as a production assistant on multiple sets, and worked as an associate producer across several projects, including an extensive 11-day production for Conair. Those experiences have shaped the way I approach my work in front of the camera. I understand how many moving pieces exist outside the frame, how important preparation and flexibility are, and how much a successful production depends on collaboration.
My background extends beyond entertainment as well. I’ve spent years working in hospital pharmacy and earned a degree in Psychology with a minor in Marketing. It may seem like an unusual combination, but each part of that experience has influenced how I work. Psychology taught me to pay attention to people, behavior, and connection. Marketing sharpened my understanding of audiences and messaging. Healthcare taught me precision, responsibility, and how to stay calm when things move quickly. Production taught me how to problem-solve, communicate clearly, and adapt when plans change.
That combination of experiences is what I bring to every project. I’m comfortable collaborating with a full production team, taking direction, adjusting in the moment, and understanding the larger goal behind the work. I care about what happens on camera, but I also understand and appreciate everything happening around it.
At the end of the day, I love being part of the creative process and working with people who care about making something great. Whether I’m acting, hosting, modeling, creating content, or working behind the scenes, I want the experience to feel collaborative, professional, and human.
